On December 19, a driver hit and killed a man on the side of the road. CBS DFW reports that the man was trying to assist his wife with her broken down car near 3300 Highway 170 eastbound when a passing car struck the man, killing him at the scene. Authorities stated that the man who was killed was 57-year-old Richard Perrin. His children were in the car at the time of the incident but there is no information on whether they were injured at the scene.
