Do you think it will go amicably? Do you have children? Assets? Debts? These are the things your attorney will need to discuss with you.
Client Agreement
After talking things over with your attorney, you will need to decide if you would like to hire them for your divorce. You can wait to think about it or decide to hire them on the spot. They will present to you a client agreement contract in which they detail their hourly rates, what they will do for you, and what they expect you to do. Read over the agreement carefully, and then keep a copy for your records.
